To order holiday money form Halifax you don't need to be an existing customer. All currencies and travellers cheques are commission free and they offer free buy backs on unspent travel cash.

There is a minimum order amount of £300 and a maximum order limit of £2,500 in a 90 day period. (£1,500 for customers paying using a Halifax or Bank of Scotland debit card.)

There are no card handling fees charged if you choose to pay by Debit Card or Visa Credit Card. If you wish to pay by Mastercard Travelex (Halifax FX platform provider) will levy a card handling fee of 1.5% of the order value (min £4 –max £15). This will be shown within your order summary. If you chose to pay by either Mastercard, Visa Credit Card or Visa Debit Card, your issuer may apply a cash advance fee which will be shown separately on your Credit Card/Bank statement. If customers prefer sterling traveller’s cheques there will charge 1% (min £3).
